The "Monumental" Dream of MISMMOP in a Capsule:
This ambitious and seemingly unrealistic effort is (and will remain) a totally nonviolent, transparent, and legal process of peace-building. We wish and will strive to cause a morally informed humanizing-the-enemy memorial monument for peace (as a symbolic GIFT OF PROFOUND GRIEF AND APOLOGY from the American people to the people of Iran/Minab) to be built, as much as possible by--or with the participation of--the American workers and employees who physically built, and weaponized, the specific 3 war-crime missiles that destroyed (in a "triple tap") the Minab elementary school in the late morning hours of Sat. Feb. 28, 2026, among the very first attacks of the illegal and immoral American-Israeli war on Iran; and in this short YouTube clip even "AI" talks, in a deeply sobering way, about this horrific war crime in Minab: https://youtube.com/shorts/bmxgNFZ0SDk?si=4zFN5tu5in_jVkEe. And for obvious reasons, our hoped-for physical location of the to-be-built Minab School Memorial Monument for Peace (MISMMOP) is a visibly prominent public spot as close as possible to the exact school yard grounds of the Shajareh Tayyebeh Elementary School, located very close to Minab's Resalat Boulevard section of Route 91--near the shore of the Strait of Hormuz, East of the Persian Gulf--where the perished, mostly girls used to innocently play in between their class periods. We hope that our MISMMOP initiative, herein, can eventually and effectively, collaborate--as possible and appropriate--with the noble intersectional civil society efforts (which are beginning to collaboratively emerge inside and outside Iran) that aim to reconstruct, fittingly, this now historically significant Iranian school, hopefully with an adjacent peace museum, which would be a beautiful "twin" to our hoped-for Minab monument for peace. DEVELOPING DRAFT OF THE PROJECT OUTLINE
INTRODUCTION
1- The initial idea of the below-described Minab School Memorial Monument for Peace (MISMMOP) initiative entered Moji Agha's heart/mind (in Boulder, Colorado, U.S.) in the very late evening hours of Sunday, May 3, 2026; and after a number of communications with Moji, Veterans For Peace (VFP) members Cara Bissell and William Hopkins joined the project on May 5th--which we consider it to be MISMMOP's birthday.
2- The basic "restorative peace and justice" dream idea of the Minab School Memorial Monument for Peace (MISMMOP), to be gradually developed into a much more fully elaborated initiative in the weeks and months to come, is to cause the building of a morally informed humanizing-the-enemy memorial physical monument for peace (as a symbolic GIFT OF PROFOUND GRIEF AND APOLOGY from the American people to the people of Iran/Minab) to be built, as much as possible by--or with the participation of--the American workers and employees who physically built--and weaponized--the specific 3 war-crime missiles that destroyed (in a "triple tap") the Minab elementary school in the late morning hours of Sat. Feb. 28, 2026, among the very first attacks of the illegal and immoral Israeli-American war on Iran--and in this short YouTube clip even "AI" talks, in a deeply sobering way, about this horrific war crime in Minab: https://youtube.com/shorts/bmxgNFZ0SDk?si=4zFN5tu5in_jVkEe.
3- And for obvious reasons, our hoped-for physical location of the to-be-built Minab School Memorial Monument for Peace (MISMMOP) is a visibly prominent public spot as close as possible to the exact school yard grounds of the Shajareh Tayyebeh Elementary School (which is located very close to Minab's Resalat Boulevard section of Route 91--near the shore of the Strait of Hormuz, East of the Persian Gulf) where the perished, mostly girls used to innocently play in between their class periods.
4- We hope that our MISMMOP initiative, herein, can eventually collaborate--as possible and appropriate--with the noble intersectional civil society efforts (which are beginning to collaboratively emerge inside and outside Iran) that aim to reconstruct, fittingly, this now historically significant Iranian school--hopefully with an adjacent peace museum, which would be a beautiful "twin" to our hoped-for Minab monument for peace.
5- On May 8, 2026, Eliza Gera, Moji's talented American graphic artist (and peace and democracy activist) friend, generously accepted his invitation for her to become the MISMMOP team's volunteer graphic artist Ally; and she gracefully agreed to immediately begin collaborating with Moji (who had already dreamed a draft concept for our envisioned monument) toward the imaginative development of an actual and beautiful graphic art logo drawing design--to be displayed initially in this site--that would visually depict (poetically) our "monumental" peace-building struggle; and thus, Eliza and Moji have been working together on the logo since May 9, 2026, forming our project's logo working group.
6- The "formal" birth (on May 5, 2026) of our MISMMOP initiative was announced a week later on May 12, as a major part of the 40th anti-war townhall organized by the Peace-seeking Iranian Veterans and the National Peace and Democracy Coalition of Iran, mentioned above--and elaborated herein: https://piv-kas.blogspot.com/p/special-events.html. In this U.S.-based Zoom gathering the project's initial plan (herein--currently being further-developed, gradually, by Moji Agha) was introduced and partially discussed; and later it was agreed upon by members of our MISMMOP team in our first Zoom meeting--see below.
7- In this May 12 Zoom gathering the idea of composing a bilingual (Persian-English) Iranian-American song for the MISMMOP initiative was proposed by Moji Agha and was gracefully agreed to by Sharon Abreu; and the next day (May 13) Moji Agha composed--upon waking up from sleep--the initial Persian-English draft lyrics for such a song/musical piece; hence, Sharon and Moji formed our project's "Minab Lullaby" working group (talking on Zoom on May 22) and have been working together, since then, on the development of the song's melody, etc. And on June 23, 2026, in the 43rd anti-war townhall Zoom, organized by the Peace-seeking Iranian Veterans and the National Peace and Democracy Coalition of Iran, Moji proposed the idea that Sharon could possibly present -- hopefully in the Fall of 2026 -- a peace concert (including the "Minab Lullaby" song/music performance) hosted by the Music Department (and especially its Music and Peacebuilding academic track) at the Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, U.S. The next morning, Sharon enthusiastically embraced the idea and the relevant outreach emails were sent.
8- As mentioned above, a leading member of our Coordinators Team is Cara Bissell, President, Veterans For Peace (VFP) Jon Miles Chapter 13, in Tucson, Southern Arizona (U.S.), which is the closest VFP Chapter to the Raytheon plant, wherein the exact 3 Tomahawk missiles that vaporized the primary school children in Minab, Iran (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2026_Minab_school_attack) were--most likely--final-assembled and weaponized. On May 22, 2026 our project's "VFP working group" was formed, and we are very happy that, thanks to Cara's leadership, her Chapter has now formally adopted MISMMOP (on June 8, 2026) and has agreed to be the Lead VFP Chapter that will help move our "monumental" initiative forward; a uniquely significant collaboration, given the VFP Chapter 13's proximity to the above-mentioned Raytheon plant.
9- Thus, we emphasize that our admittedly ambitious and seemingly unrealistic effort is (and will remain) totally nonviolent, transparent, and legal; hence we are proposing the herein MISMMOP initiative for the critically needed purpose of authentic peace-building among the diverse peoples of the wounded nation of Iran -- and of the region -- and of the "Turtle Island" America, in addition to doing what we (and our peace-seeking allies--also inside Iran) can, to prevent further illegal and immoral attacks on the country, and the region, especially by the U.S. and Israel, and by their Arab (mostly monarch-ruled) "allies" around of the Persian Gulf.
10- These sad realities are a part of why our Minab School Memorial Monument for Peace (MISMMOP) is an independently functioning ally initiative of the Global Iran Peace Plan (GIPP), summarized herein: https://piv-kas.blogspot.com/p/the-global-iran-peace-plan-gipp-english.html.

PROJECT DESCRPTION
A DEVELOPING LIST OF IDEAS, PLANS, AND ACTION STEPS -- RELATED TO THE INTRODUCTION SECTION (above); and a timeline for our MISMMOP initiative's initial phase (from May 2026 to March 2027) that can change, as needed...
PHASE ONE (May 2026 thru March 2027)
- Early May to Mid-June 2026 -- First 6 weeks
1) The gradual completion and the formal approval, on June 14, 2026 (see item # 7, below) of the herein draft proposal -- suggested by Moji Agha, in consultation with Cara Bissell and other members of our MISMMOP team; and thus
2) We are happy that from early may to mid-June of 2026, Moji Agha, as an Iranian-American associate member of the Veterans For Peace (VFP--and on behalf of Cara and other VFP members and allies of our MISMMOP team) began the process of summitting our proposal to the VFP, National--and ongoingly to other interested VFP Chapters (such as Chapters 42 and 61) and also to other peace-seeking civil society groups (such as Code Pink, the Connecticut Palestine Alliance, and the About Face Veterans Against War members and chapters) for their approval, adoption, and active collaboration with our initiative; while
3) Per above (item # 8 of the Introduction) we are very happy that on June 8, 2026 MISMMOP was formally adopted by the Jon Miles Chapter 13 of the Veterans For Peace (VFP--in Tucson, Arizona, U.S.) as our Lead VFP Chapter; and in addition to other Chapters, we hope that other interested VFP (and About Face) individual peace activist persons would gradually join and support our brave initiative; and
4) On the above-mentioned VFP Jon Miles Chapter 13 regularly scheduled meeting date of June 8th, Karen Pope (Secretary of the Chapter) proposed a number of inspired ideas to help support MISMMOP, including the following: a) Starting to explore a Tucson-Minab sister city relationship; b) The collaborative building of and erecting (at a suitable location--perhaps in the Children’s Peace Garden in Manuel Herrera Jr. Park) an inspired Tucson/Minab Peace Pole--to stand in solidarity with our proposed peace monument in Minab; c) Find places to produce the music and display the art of the MISMMOP project; d) Have forums/discussions community-wide to
generate public interest; and e) Submit information about the initiative to media.
5) Per item # 2, above (and per our "Who We Are" section--also above) by the early morning hours of June 9th, the 4 panel members of our proposed MISMMOP workshop at the Veterans For Peace (VFP--Aug. 6-9) national conference in Kansas City, MO became finalized, as follows: Jodie Evans (Chair of our panel of presenters), Cara Bissell, Sharon Abreu, and Moji Agha; while simultaneously
6) We will do our utmost--with the collaboration of our growing team--that the thorough investigation process to determine the factual accuracy of our MISMMOP project's belief (stated above, in the Introduction section, especially items 2 to 4--regarding the location of the actual U.S. plant in which the Minab missiles were built and weaponized) would become verifiably complete, hopefully by mid-July.
Subsequent action steps
- Mid-June thru Sept. 2026
7) Per item # 1, above, the FIRST Zoom meeting of the MISMMOP team (and interested others) convened on Sunday, June 14, 2026, 5:30 to 7 PM, Pacific (8:30 to 10 PM, Eastern) in the Zoom room of the MISMMOP: Peace-seeking Iranian Veterans--of which Moji Agha is the founding host; and we were happy that in this initial formal meeting of MISMMOP, its proposal and plans, herein, were approved and adopted (after discussion) by consensus--and our project's Connecticut Working Group was formed, and plans for its initial actions began to be discussed. This is the Zoom link (and the Passcode) of our June 14 meeting: https://us06web.zoom.us/rec/share/WLkPMH3iXHFzpNXhSa_rqkBFiyCdptpNV2hSBSbgekrgz-WRMYvFtLXYdbdsysc.TcZiFNUKtCIzVELY Passcode: =tGxL8.^ . Like our June 14 Zoom gathering, the subsequent MISMMOP meetings will happen monthly on the second Sunday of July, August, etc. at the same time; thus
8) In concert with our MISMMOP team's (initially monthly) Zoom meetings, we will be gradually building connections to media outlets, and as mentioned above (in item # 2, above) to other peace-seeking ally organizations in the U.S., inside Iran (as possible), and globally--in time; while
9) We anticipate that by our first Fall Zoom meeting (Sun. Sept. 13, 2026) we will be sharing the MISMMOP proposal -- much more developed by then -- with highly qualified interested (to be identified) visionary artists/designers/architects, especially in the U.S. and in Iran (as possible), asking them to submit their proposed architectural plans for building the actual Minab monument, depicted as an artistic logo referred to in the item # 5 of the Introduction section--and see the logo note, both above; while
- Oct. 2026 thru March 2027
10) We will be considering (and beginning to plan for) the first in-person, and on Zoom, MISMMOP gathering in Tucson, Arizona--including symbolic nonviolent protests at Raytheon (and other strategically visible public locations in Southern Arizona) intended to happen in mid-October or mid-November of 2026--which is perhaps more realistic. We will do our best, so that this peace conference gathering will have, in person, or on Zoom, prominent American keynote speakers and media personalities (for example, Medea Benjamin and Jodie Evens of Code Pink and Amy Goodman of Democracy NOW!), and also notable nonviolent civil society figures from inside Iran (as possible) online or at least via telephone; also while
11) We will be taking the needed preliminary planning steps for our first exploratory peace-building MISMMOP trip to Oman (see items "12" and "13" -- immediately below) and eventually to Minab, Iran, maybe in February or (perhaps more realistically) March of 2027 (?); and
12) Given the extremely noble many peace-building attempts by the government of the Sultanate of Oman at mediating the conflict between the U.S. and Iran, and given that Muscat (Oman's Capital City, Southeast of the Strait of Hormuz) has one of the regionally friendliest--and close to Minab--international airports, Oman is perhaps the most suitable country for: a) the local gatherings of our MISMMOP initiative--when the time comes--and possibly for b) the building of the parts, and c) even the partial physical assembly of our dreamed peace monument, which can then be transported (in a celebratory "peace boat" trip) to Minab, via the Gulf of Oman; and
13) In this collaborative process of peace-building (which is crucially important, especially from the standpoint of building multi-country diplomatic facilitation and support) our project's first obvious step--at an appropriate time--would be to bring MISMMOP to the attention of The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Washington DC in a proper manner.
- March/April 2027 thru Feb. / March 2028
14) Hopefully, Mon. Feb. 28, 2028 (the second anniversary of the war crime attack) would be the appropriate target date--IF POSSIBLE--for the following: a) The solemn commemoration, and b) The joyous official opening ceremonies that would celebrate our ambitiously dreamed Minab School Memorial Monument for Peace (MISMMOP); while
15) Related additional "crazy" dreams of Moji Agha--as of June 14, 2026--also include the following: a) The world debut SPECIAL performance of the "Minab Lullaby" song (see Item 7 of the Introduction section, above) by the Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Oman_Symphony_Orchestra -- at an appropriate time, b) Per our above-mentioned Global Iran Peace Plan (GIPP) Roadmap dream project: https://piv-kas.blogspot.com/p/the-global-iran-peace-plan-gipp-english.html, could the Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, hopefully consider becoming the Special Honorary Endorser of our MISMMOP dream initiative? And c) God Willing, could He travel to Iran/Minab, as the Special Intermediary for Durable and Just Peace Honorary Blesser of our potentially history-making peace monument, in its commemoration and official opening ceremonies, per item # 14 immediately above?
16) Our proposed peace monument will be, in part, a symbolic GIFT OF PROFOUND GRIEF AND APOLOGY from the American people, a) to the people of Iran--and of the region, b) to the community of Minab, c) to the families of the attacked school children (and their teachers and staff--as well as those who came to help after the first missile destroyed the building), and most specifically, d) to the precious memories of the 168 innocent souls that were separated from the small and growing bodies in this savage "triple-tap" war-crime attack against humanity and peace.
17) Thus, we believe that the dream-to-reality peace-building process of eventually erecting this potentially historic monument can be the subject of an attractive American-Iranian collaborative documentary film, for which we have already begun looking for inspired and qualified cinema artists, and will continue searching in the weeks and months to come.
PHASE TWO (April 2027 thru March 2028)
Details to come...
